body odor

I was diagnosed with Bartholian gland squamous cell carcinoma and had chemo and 31 radiation treatments. When I was in treatment my body started to have a sickly-sweet slightly decaying smell (I've smelt the same odor on old people) and now a 6 weeks after treatment has finished I still have this smell and it might be getting worse, or my sense of smell is getting better. Has anyone else had this experience, and if so, how long does it last?
