I'm hoping someone can help. I have been cancer free for 1 year now and I have been getting very sick anytime I over exert myself ie.shaky, nauseous, vomiting, light headed. Etc. I went to my onc and she didn't know what was going on so I just went to my primary care. He told me he believes it's a sympathetic nervous system discharge( over active sympathetic system) has anyone else ha this and what did you do to help resolve it? He wants to put me on a beta blocker!

Just wondering if you might be experiencing vasovagal responses. Have you consulted with a neurologist?

I would think that a monitored treadmill test would be useful for both producing and observing your symptoms. It could be a diagnositic tool that would help to indicate or eliminate the cause of your troubles. Just a thought.

Two years after chemo and feeling I was finally back to 'normal'....spent a Saturday with my husband outside doing gardening, lots of walking, 4-wheel rides...just a gorgeous day enjoying our life together....then unexpectedly fainted that evening and very quickly. when I came to, I couldn't feel my legs. and my arms and fingers were tingly...it lasted over an hour, my husband call 911.   First Response and Emergency staff checked all vitals were fine.

follow-up apt with my regular doctor, she said I simply over-did it.  my body was still recovering from chemo treatments.   two years later.  geez

I know of two other 'very tired' evenings after enjoying my life too much that day.

so I now enjoy life, but pace myself.
