So I had my first treatment on January 7th it wasnt too bad but the neulasta shot that i had the next day kicked my butt. I was in bed for two days. Am i going to have the same reaction every time i have that shot
I am so sorry that the neulasta shot wiped you out. I too got the neulasta shot the day after each treatment because of my low white blood cell count. It didn't hit me as hard as it hit you though, but my legs were very achy for about two or three days after each shot. Actually the hardest part for me was dragging myself back to the cancer center the day after each treatment to get the shot, because I was already feeling fatigue from the chemo. I'm hoping you have a better experience with the next shot.
My first shot of 6 was horrible. I had a migraine all day. Didnt even want to get outta recliner. However, the next 5 were fine. Maybe it will be the same for you:).
I had no trouble taking it or neupagen. when my white count went so low i had to get 4 shots a week for many weeks but it had no effect on my white count, did not seem to help it come up any. anyway it didn't come up enough for me to finish my last 3 rounds of chemo. God has blessed me and i ahve tolerated chemo and the shots well
