still fighgting
Well I made it thru the whole brain radiation, lost my hair, felt sick most of the time. I have to wait a few weeks for a folllow up MRI but in the mean time they found some disease in a few lymphnodes and a small spot on my hip. No rest for the weary..started right on Abraxane. First treatment was 1/2/2013. I don't think I feel that bad from it. It's hard to tell because I still have the effects of the radiation. They said those could last 6-8 weeks.
The rads also caused swelling in my nasal passages and ear canals which have become infected so I am having trouble hearing too. I got steroid drops and anti biotics today so hopefully they will kick in over the weekend.
Just wondering how others have done on the Abraxane. I will be getting a treatment every three weeks. The doc said the side effects will be similar to the Taxol. I was achy for a few days and tired but not really sick. When I was doing Taxol my hair started growing back! Hoping for that.
HUgs to all
