I dont post alot but I do visit every few days. You ladies have been so instrumental in my journey with ovarian cancer. I have drawn so much strength and hope from this place.

It has been a year since I was diagnosed. I finished my chemo in March. It has been a roller coaster for me. Very emotional for me as this was my second cancer diagnosis. I took it so much more personally this time around. I'm coming up on some important checkups. My 6 month checkup for the ovarian cancer and my annual checkup for the colon cancer. I get so nervous before checkups. Wish I wasn't doing them right before checkups.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. And I want to give some back and encourage all those diagnosed recently to hang in there. Life does go on. You find a new kind of normal. Much love to everyone here.

I say... go out and celebrate! I am a two time survivor also, Thyroid and Ovarian. With all we go through, I don't think the pre-appt anxiety ever gets easier.

I am so happy that you are NED (no evidence of disease) and I am praying that you get the "thumbs up" from both of your upcoming check-ups. I myself have been NED for just over two years and I just had my three month CA 125 blood test last week and will have my six month checkup with my gyn-onc surgeon this Friday. As I await my CA 125 results, I definitely agree that the pre-appointment anxiety hasn't gotten much better for me (yet!).

Hugs,

Kelly

So glad you have passed that one-year mark! I know, it can be very emotionally draining when you are waiting for answers. I am waiting for a CA125 report, hoping it is low regardless of a few 'aches and pains'. I was diagnosed in 2000, had a recurrance in 2006. I'm overdue for a CT scan, and will try to get that after my husband has his knee replace
