once again, we thank you.

----------
National Family Caregiver Month

National Family Caregivers Month (NFC Month) - observed every November - is a nationally recognized month seeking to draw attention to the many challenges facing family caregivers, advocate for stronger public policy to address family caregiving issues, and raise awareness about community programs that support family caregivers.

NFC Month is a time to thank, support, educate, and celebrate more than 50 million family caregivers across the country.

The theme for NFC Month is for family caregivers to...

BELIEVE in yourself... PROTECT your health... REACH OUT for help

This November there is a special emphasis on the need for all of us to help family caregivers protect their health in order to have a more satisfying life and be better able to provide their loved one with the best care possible.

To learn more about NFC Month visit the National Family Caregivers Association Web site (www.thefamilycaregiver.org).

BSB,
Thank you for this information ! I was a caregiver...still am I guess to my hubby with type 1 diabetes w/major complications. It is so tremendously important to thank all who keep us moving positively forward. I worry that my husbands condition will worsen from all the stress of my dx...don't give him enough credit. Make him get out with friends at least 3x a wk, just because. Again good post, thank you ! Katie

I will have to treat my family to something extra special this month as they have been the best care givers to me.

my belief is that caregivers (esp. spouse) have it harder than the fighter. they should be thanked more often.

i also believe the nurses, aids, technicians etc have a huge roll in helping maintaining a positive metal attitude of the warrior. their smiles to us no matter how bad it is helps carry the warrior beyond description. their relentless passion to making it better is beyond imagination. they deserve an every day recognition because they do it everyday.

we also find out who our real family and friends are, when they become caregivers thru unconditional support.

Caregivers, Thank You!

That is great information. I am also so grateful to all the caregivers we have met in the medical profession and to all of you on this site. In a very real way you are all caregivers to everyone you support, educate and encourage on this site.

So, here's to you, the caregivers on the Head and Neck cancer site. Whether you know it or not you have helped mine and my husband's quality of life and given us hope and inspiration.

And, that is PRICELESS.
