Until this year, I thought birthdays were no big deal -- as long as it was not a significant year being reached.
This year, I was at the oncologist's office on my birthday to get blood drawn to be sure I was good to go for chemo the following Monday. My nurse made a big deal about its being my birthday.
I do realize that the American Cancer Society calls itself the sponsor of birthdays, I think. I said to one of my co-workers the other day that I have decided that I need to celebrate every birthday I have from this time forward. Birthdays are a big deal to those dealing with cancer.
Best wishes to you. I will be looking for you to let us know next year when we can again wish you a happy birthday.

i had a good day yesterday i dont have family here just me and my 2 dogs. i started off i drove 32 miles to jc penney we dont have one here. i got the free cut and style she was very nice. then i went to lunch and did some shopping later i went out to dinner. so i had a good birthday. yes robert the dogs are in a time out lol. i was sad this morning my white dog grant had knee surgery this morning i miss him.

Teresa,so sorry to here about Grant's surgery. Hope he recovers quickly with no ill affects. There are several dog lovers on here who will understand about you missing him,too. Yes,it is hard not having family around you. It's just me and my wife here in N.C. The rest of our families are spread out all over this country.
32 miles for a cut & style? You ladies sure do love your hair! LOL!(I guess I'm just jealous because I don't have much left.)
