Something you veterans probably already know:

Sometimes it takes a minute for your posting to get posted, you just have to wait.

But occasionally it never clears. If your posting takes forever to act - if selecting "Post Comment" simply stays on that page forever - just select Preview Comment to get out of the loop and go exploring and you will see that your posting actually did make it!
