I am a 41 year old survivor of ALL. Was diagnosed at 15. I had agressive chemo for 2 years and also cranial radiation. For a while now I have noticed my memory slipping as well as being tired all the time, achy bones, congnitive impairment, and other things. I also have felt for a long time that I think in a different way somehow than most people, I really cant explain except that I feel like I am different and dont fit. I feel like people think I am faking all these symptoms. I have done some research on The Long Term Effects of Cranial Radiation as a teenager, what little there is out there confirms my ideas that while I am a survivor the effects of these treatments I had steal my life in other ways. I also had growth problems. I am desperately looking for other survivors who share these or similar effects. I feel alone with no support. Is there anyone?

    wow that is amazing, all
wow that is amazing, all these years oyu have been cancer free. Since 15 years young, that is inspiring. But can you read my post please, and tell me what you think?
    here it is,

My really good friend told me, when he was 14 he found out he had leukemia.... He did chemo for a year or more. And after they needed to do a BMT. His brother was a perfect match. Now he is 18 and he is fine. The BMT was successful. But I'm just wondering if everything was successful, what's his life expentancy? This is what I read on google, and it scared me so much
"Patients who have survived for at least 5 years after hematopoietic cell transplantation without recurrence of the original disease have a high probability of surviving for an additional 15 years, but life expectancy is not fully restored. Further effort is needed to reduce the burden of disease and treatment-related complications in this population"

Does THIS MEAN PEOPLE CAN ONLY LIVE 20 OR LESS YEARS AFTER A BMT???? PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER ME, WITH A TRUTH.
