Does anyone have any experience with chyle leaks after EC surgery? Can this cause the spread to the blood system? Thank you.

I am not sure if a chyle leak has any impact on the spread of cancer to the blood system. I am sorry to hear of your husband's experience.

Thank you Paul... I am trying to find answers to many unanswered questions. My husband was a wonderful and kind man that had every hope in the world. Also a Vietnam Veteran and our family asked for memorial donations to the American Cancer Society and Wounded Warrior Project. This will be a very long process for me and our family that's for certain.

If my story and questions, and answers, help others as well -- it's healing for me somehow.

Bless You

First of all, let me express my sympathy to you. I don't post often on this site anymore but am a still an occasional visitor. My husband also passed away from EC almost a year ago after a very short (15 week) battle. He, too, was a Vietnam Veteran and highly exposed to Agent Orange. I am sending you an email on this site with a little information that may be helpful to you.
Again, please accept my sincere sympathy to you and your family for your loss.

Rita, thank you so much for posting, and your heartfelt words. I am sincerely sorry about your husband's passing away also. Devastating isn't it. Thank you to your husband for serving his Country also. I will check my email and again, thank you.
Bless You,
Mattie
