You haven't posted in a while. I've been following your journey (similar to mine) so I was hoping you'd check in. Hope all is well.

I had chemo treatment 5 of 12 on Thursday 8/23 (pump removed on Sat 8/25). Today it feels like it is taking me longer to get over the chemo treatments. I'm feeling weak / drained of energy. Taking a shower, getting ready, and driving into work has left me feeling like a lump of blah. I did drink some OJ and ate a breakfast sandwich so I'm hoping I'll harness up some energy to do some work yet.

Between chemo, being a father to five children (one 12 year old), working, taking care of my house, and writing for my blog, I've kept myself pretty busy. My blog has been a form of therapy for me as I'm dealing with this chemo stuff. I took my inspiration from Craig (Sundance) and I'm pretending I know how to write :-)

If you are interested you can follow my blog at http://pscamihorn.me

It is strange how I decided to log into csn.cancer.org today and find someone actually missed me not being here. It’s nice to be missed.

Thank you!

Phil

Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's good to hear from you. Although we don't know each other, I was touched by your attitude dealing with a difficult situation. Do rest up if you can.

Glad you popped in today as well. :)
Nice photo of some boat fun....it would be a good visualization tool too for the tougher times of treatment.
Glad to see your face~

Sorry your treatments are getting harder on you but unfortunately the more you do the longer it takes to bounce back. Just try to get as much rest as you can when you can. It is hard when you have kids that you have to tend to. You do look like you are enjoying yourself on that boat though. Hope you feel better soon.

I took vacation in August and I pushed a treatment back for vacation. So I was feeling really good on vacation. I was tentative about getting into the water but the water and feet in the sand actually felt good and I enjoyed vacation a ton. There are more pictures on my blog (Treatment 4 of 5 entry). We had a ton of kids and they all were good and had an excellent time.

Thank you all for your advice. Yes, it is gettin harder to bounce back. Even this morning I was a little dizzy and tired coming into work. And although I just finished lunch, I'm still eating even though I'm not hungry.

And all you know better than me, I'm basically rolling the dice and hoping the chemo helps in the long run.

I have another link to share with everyone. My cousin Talor has been battling cancer since 2009. She is 16 years old now and she needs prayers. She has had a beautiful video / song written for her... Check it out on youtube.

When I look at what an inspiration my cousin has been I am humbled. Going through chemo is challenging and uncertainty we all deal with is tough... But watching a child battle cancer while she is growing into a young woman as well, and seeing how she has been an inspiration to so many other children cought up in a cancer battle, brings tears to my eyes. Pray for Tay!

Thanks again everyone for all your support!

Love, Light, and Power to us all!!!
