My oncologist recommends I get vaccinated for pertussis. I am leery of doing so. I'm searching for advice and experiences to help my decision-making.

    Vaccinations
    Hi Ragsgolf,

Approaching my 1st "birthday" after transplant and expect to start vaccinations soon. There has been an uptick in pertussis and I am definitely getting any vaccine that is recommended by my doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering. How long since your transplant? What meds do you take specifically relating to the transplant? What type? (e.g. mine was a T-cell depleted allograft donated by a guy in Germany). Any post-transplant problems?

    Be healthy!
