Hello everyone,
I just received a phone call from ECAN (esophogeal cancer action network)this morning, to disucss how I can help their organization. Coincidentally they are located here in the Baltimore area like I am. I had gone on their website and offerd to help in any way I can. I hope to get fully involved in this great organization, and wanted to let the people here on this forum know about ECAN in case you hadn't found it yet. The web address is www.ecan.org.
I'm a librarian, and we are hoping that ECAN will partner with my county libary to put bookmarks in books that we check out that warn that heartburn can cause cancer and the warning signs. I'm pretty excited about that.
So just doing a little "shilling" for the EC and more specifically ECAN. If you haven't checked out the website please do!
Thanks.
Sandy

I am also waiting for the call from ECAN. I'm all the way in California, but hopefully soon they'll call with a job for me. I had NO IDEA about EC or the causes of EC until my Dad was diagnosed. I tell EVERYONE about it now.
HI SANDY
William is right...us newbies (at least myself) was never aware of ECAN
