Today I finished with my last radiation treatments i finished
My chemo a couple weeks ago.
Over all I feel pretty good I am still dealing with mucous that sometimes make me vomit im using the baking soda mix my docrecommmended ans tussin to keep itu under control the suction machine doesn't seem to help out much at all. I know that i still have a cuople more weeks to "cook" but I'm feeling pretty optimistic at this point especially knowing that I dont have to wear the dreaded mask anymore and from here on out its all about healing up. This was a long time getting to today and more than a few times I just wanted to give up. But I'm glad I made it through woohoo!!!

    Way to Go!!!
Congrats on completing your rads, a few more weeks "cooking" then on the
road to recovery. May you not get any side effects but if you do let them be minor.
    Well done once again.

    God bless
    Tonsil dad,

    Dan.

    nice job
    Hi nick770,

How time flies when you’re having f__, well when you ride our bus. I am so happy for you and grateful that you made it through in such great spirits. Let’s hope your post rads is just a simmer with the right amount of heat for the job.

Now, kick back and rest a bit, have a smoothie on me. Finally, if you’ll excuse me, I will step outside and (also) ring a bell for you.

    Best,

    Matt

    Whoo Hoo NICK!! :)
You made it to the end...YES!! It takes perserverance and courage to get to rads everyday, and you did it beautifully. Finishing rads takes such a load off our shoulders...it's freeing :). Now you can rest all you want, start the healing your body wants to do without being dragged off somewhere every single day.

Gonna dance YOU around the kitchen tonite...get your dancin' shoes on!

    yeah
Nick, CONGRATS...good for you ! You have this huge obstacle behind you now and you can concentrate on getting some rest and getting stronger every day.

It sounds like you kept your great attitude all the way thru your bus ride, and are dealing well with the side effects considering what you've been thru.

    YOU DONE GOOD !!

    Congratulations!
Hopefully the next few weeks pass easily for you. Either way, you should feel great about being at the end of treatment. That's a huge milestone!

Bigtime congratulations. Rads, in my opinion, are the worst of it, and now it is "done." All of us who've been thru it can appreciate where you are at, now, and be happy for you. Yes, as to the cooking for awhile. Many complain of symptoms being as bad or worse. For me, it stayed pretty-much the same for a couple weeks, then started slowly feeling better- don't think I would describe my symptoms, post-rads, as ever getting worse than they were during treatment, and hope you'll be able to say the same. Great to hear your news, Nick.

    Congratulations
So happy for you...that ringing the bell moment is such a big landmark in conquering the beast. Now, just remember that recovery can take a long time, enjoy every moment and don't get discouraged if it takes longer than you expect, and it very well might. I can see my husband's progress more easily than he can.

Thanks for all of the well
Thanks for all of the well wishes. My great hope is they symptoms don't get worse just stay the same and improve quickly (I know that's very wishful thinking but I have to try).

To those still in rads hang in there your time to ring the bell will come and you will join me on this road to healing.
