I go in at 730 tomorrow morning for surgery. Getting really nervous. Have not eaten since yesterday breakfast - been on clear liquids and tonight get to do that wonderful MoviPrep to clean the rest of me out, yay.

    It's going to be okay
Surgery is always scary, and when I've had them in the past, I make sure that the Drs. know that I'm an anxious patient; that way I can get the IV hookup with "the juice" quicker.
    Wake me when it's over!
I will send up an extra prayer for you and your surgeon tonight.
I'll be looking forward to your next post :)
    With a hug,

I am drinking the prep now, I feel like throwing up with every swallow but I know it needs to come out the other end, so I keep drinking. YUK!

Surgery went well. No colostomy. First took out gallbladder, then went to rectal tumor, spent 2 1/2 hours on that, reconnecting and checking for leakages, dr said went fine. Then went to liver, did ultrasound on liver, did not find any micro spots, used cyberknife to cut that out. I have incision down my belly with 33 staples. Total surgery was 5 1/2 hours. I have a morphine PCA to help me get up walk down hall. I started with dilaudid - dd not agree with me. My whole body got hot and it didn't control the pain. I hope to get out 7 -10 days, but first - I have to pass gas. I advanced to a clear liquid diet yesterday from just ice chips but not doing much, just a few sips of tea. Hpoe everyone is doing well! Lots of recovery, surgeon said I am doing great.
