This is the sight that i first started from. Then I went to the caregiver sight, then I went to the bereavement sight. Now where do I go from here? This is so very hard! I miss him so bad! We where together for 30 years, now where do I go from here? I guess know one knows where to go? I go to Wal-Marts to get what I need, I set in the living room room where we use to set. I just can't get back to where I use to be. I probably am not at the right place to be right now, I don't know here to go from here. It;s been 3 months now since he has been gone and I don't know what to do. Sue

I know how your feeling. My dad passed away 2months ago and he was my best friend. I saw him everyday and he was my rock. I went to see my doctor which really helped and told me about people who I can talk to. You must remember your not alone, people go through this everyday. I try and get on with my life as I know my dads up there watching me. I want him to be happy not sad. My mum also lost her husband of 40yrs but she knows hes in a better place now. Hes not suffering anymore, we are. What might help is talking to people who are in the same boat as you, it helps knowing your not alone. Keeping active helps me

Sue,
My husband died 2 years ago, and although they say it gets easier, I still feel lost. We were married 46 years and he had only gotten sick in January & died in March. I'm so thankful for my 3 kids & 3 grandchildren cause they make me want to go on. It hasn't been long for you so just take your time. Don't feel lost because any place you go on this web site you'll find support. We've all been through this so all understand. Have you seen a counselor? The hospital where the doctors were had free counseling and because of what happrned I went to a counselor for 10 months and was also on meds, so think about getting help so you can make it through this. Hang in there! "Carole"

Thanks for your responds , I just can not get over this sad, lonely place that I am still in. It will be only 3 months since he has been gone, but it seems like 3 years! Everything was about HIM. Did everything, I could possibly do. Now I do nothing! It all just seems too have stopped! I tell you I just don't know what to do? Some mornings just hate to get up out of bed, whats the use? But I do. Same old same old thing, I guess I just have to try and figure out what to do? I do know what I am doing right now is not working. I have a doctor appt next Friday, so maybe, just maybe he could help figure out what my options are? I''v been to a couple meetings but it made me more sad that I just could not go back. I just have a very hard time thinking? remembering things? Anyway I just wanted to think everyone on this site for just being here and listening, No one really knows how we feel unless you have been there! Sue

Hi Sue. I can just feel the heartbreak through your words. Im so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband 1 month ago and feel pretty close to exactly what you are describing. I don't have a clue what to do, either. Even though my husband was sick for over a year and we were warned that "it" was coming, I was and still am shocked that he isn't here anymore. On a daily basis (it was just the two of us) I miss everything about him. We did everything together. I am a strong believer in God and that Heaven is where we all aim to be, as it is a wonderful place full of love, etc..but after this happened, I just feel numb to all of that. I still believe and am thankful to God and everything, but the actual physical pain of the loss I feel is somehow blocking the usual comfort I feel from my faith. And that is just as heartbreaking to me as this big lonely house and lonely new life I have. I just dont know what to do, either.
