Just wondering how long second remissions have lasted for those of you that have been lucky enough to have had them. I guess I am just looking to see what might be possible.

Somedays I wonder if we are
Somedays I wonder if we are actually in remission or if the chemo just suppressed the aggressive cells...then a short time later...bamm on the mary go round we go....??? I know we need to think positive but reality makes it hard.

It might just be that I am only a few months NED and still sweating test results.

as I am just starting out on Chemo I dont even know if I will obtain remission as I have clear cell. CA-125 not coming down much. But I am iwth you. Not to sound disheartened, I wonder the same thing. And I have read that for my type of cner the median length of time for remission is about a year. Sometimes I wonder if I should have accepted the chemo at all. They did not find any other malignancies at the time of surgery, but said the chemo is to "flush out anything they dont see". Some days are really hard, aren't they.....

I have clear cell and in am
I have clear cell and in am in full remission. I had my surgery May 18, 2011. My CA-125 two weeks ago was 12. After surgery it was 106. I started chemo in late June last year. By late August my CA-125 was 14. I was stage 3c

None of us know how long we may or may not remain in remission. just because it's clear cell doesn't mean that you can't obtain remission. Only time will tell for how long.

    Best wishes to you.

thats great news! Your chemo worked wonderfully and your numbers rapidly came down. I was kinda told that sometimes chemo does not work on this type so well, but now I have hope!! thanks!
