Last Monday my husband had his wound vac removed. On Thursday he felt the wound split during a BM and on Friday felt another pop during a sneeze. The wound was about 2 inch across and is now about 6. In pain all weekend and headed to hernia surgery this afternoon. So looks like his friend the wound vac is coming back. It's definitely a setback and disappointing but could be much worse. Lisa

    Sometimes you can really
Sometimes you can really understand the adage, "One step forward, two steps back." That was very true for me during my cancer healing and surgeries. It sometimes got to me as I had absolutely no control over any of it, but there will come a time when every step he takes is toward progress.
Hang in there...when someone said it's a bumpy ride, they weren't kidding.
You will both get to a better place, and next year will be looking back on all this as a very distant memory.
