Thinking about everyone

I wanted to swing by and say Hi to everyone. This is my good week in my cycle so I feel great for the most part. I stay pretty tired, which is from the chemo I'm sure. My next (and hopefully final pre-op) round of chemo is this coming Friday. I never thought I would find myself wanting surgery as bad as I did for the MIE back in July but this time, I think I want it even more.

I've been thinking about everyone and hope everything is going as well as it can. I'm coming up on the one year anniversary of my diagnosis and I've been reflecting on it. A good bit of my time, I've been here and as a result, I've seen some amazing successes and together, sadly, we've said goodbye to some of our dear friends as well.

Take care and love one another...

I had thought the other day that I posted on my Facebook and I think it fits well here. The greatest thing you can do today is something for someone else. Even something small.

    I was wondering how you were doing. Thanks for the update. This evening as I was holding one of my grand daughters I told her to match my breathing with hers and we did that until we both drifted off to sleep.
    Hang in there and get those nasty nodes out. I wish you the best.

    Jimbo,

    You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope this last chemo session goes well and the surgery gets the affected node. It would be great if when they remove it they find no live cancer cells.

    That is what we will be praying for,

    Been thinking about you and your family and congrats on having the last chemo session just around the corner. You are strong in spirit and body and you will be in my thoughts as surgery approaches. Please do keep us posted. We're all rooting for you!

    Hi Jimbo, I too have been wondering how you are. So pleased you seem to be doing OK. Will pray you sail through your next Chemo and have a successful surgery followed by a speedy recovery.

    Got hit with a little surprise this week
    Not a horrible one I guess but knocked me off balance a bit. Went to see the oncologist and he said we were going to schedule a PET for a couple of weeks. Then he went ahead and scheduled another round of chemo for three weeks from yesterday. I was under the understanding that we were going to do three rounds, scan and then depending on the outcome of the scan, shoot for surgery or evaluate next steps. This forth round surprised me so I didn't even ask. Not a huge deal since I am still tolerating chemo so well but a little shocking. This time last year, I never thought within a year I would be completing 21+ weeks of chemo, major surgery looking forward to another and being put to sleep some 6 times in general. Just goes to show, you never know what's around the corner. I am just so thankful that all in all, I am still very healthy. Unless someone knows me, they don't know how sick I am or the battle I fight. I still take every chance to share what my little blue wristband means.

    Since you're doing ok with the chemo, maybe it's good to be getting the extra round. Need to hit it with everything we can.,
