More about ECAN

I was looking for an organization to donate to on behalf of EC research and awareness. Well, tonight I talked with Mindy Mordecai who is the President and CEO of ECAN. Her husband Monte died from EC. We talked for a long time and I am very impressed with her dedication and the goals set for the org. She has many irons in the fire and has established contacts ( some in Hollywood is well) to help with a national awareness campaign. She is also working on a continuing education program for PCP dr. to learn about EC prevention. They have an annual gala dance to bring awareness and they have established April as EC awareness month. In addition they are wanting to develop chapters throughout the country. I was very impressed with all that they have done in such a short time and I am going to support them.
