Hello, all pink sisters,
Well went for my blood work on Monday and it is not good. The nurse said it should be in the 2000 range and mine was only 300.
So I was advised to stay away from crowds people and any one sick. So I guess that means that I pretty much stay at home.Thank GOD I am a computer junkie!!!! LOL
I go back next Monday for another blood check, but she said it will still go down from here.Lets hope not.
I am feeling better every day just very tired and I sleep alot and my appetite
is gone, have to make myself eat. I am making a baked chicken breast, broccoli and scalloped potatoes for dinner sure hope I can eat it.
I will check back in again soon.
Thanks for every ones advise it sure is alot of help when you have no idea what you are facing.
Hugs to all,Kathy

    Glad you are feeling better
Glad you are feeling better Kathy. Try to eat as much as you can, just little snacks or anything to get something in your body to help you.

Hope your blood work goes up!

    Thanks for the update,

    Low Blood Counts
    Hi,

I remember going once going for chemo and the nurse shook her head "No". My counts were to low. I looked around the room and hissed, "but, I look like the healthiest person here". The answer was "no, go home, come back next week".

Wasn't a happy camper. I work in a school and no matter that I had low counts, I never got sick. The rest, use to drop like flies with flu, colds and etc. I stood standing tall. The radiation guy, said, "good genes, not the vitamin C I took each morning.

I do understand how you felt.

    Best,

    Doris

Thanks for updating us. Your blood work was really low. Sorry you have to stay home mainly, but, it is for your good. You don't want to get sick now and the flu is already going around.

Good luck and sending a hug,

Rest and drink lots of water. Hoping your blood work will go up. I know it is hard to have to stay in, but, you need to be careful now.

Kathy, my white count bottomed out a few times too
It's good advice to stay away from crowds, but this is a tough time of year to have to stay in. Try to get enough sleep, try to eat foods high in protein. The counts will swing back up--sometimes it just takes a little time.

    Hang in there sweetie.
