    I always wondered if you had a Name, just joking, lol

    Really a lot of people here don’t want to be identified so they just use there post for a name. That is like me my real name is Timothy but all my fiends call me Hondo so I just go by Hondo.

    Not well today.. On top of
    Not well today.. On top of it, he had a flat at the grocery store and decided to walk home instead of calling me to pick him up. He is napping now. It's not far from the house, but to far for a sick man with almost no muscle mass and under weight. Sheeeessshhh!!! MEN!!!!

    Never, never, never. Honestly it sems that Cancer knows how to add to the misery. I remember having huge plumbing problems during radiation and chemo. It was a bad time.

    I have the same issue with muscle mass (due to great weight loss in my case, mainly) and yet continued to try maintaining the yard on my own, even when, after mowing a couple or three rows I would have to come inside for a break (had lobectomy too).

    The real problem wasn't the mowing but the additional duties, the t r i m m i n g (the unspaced word was censored roflmao), the edging, the weeding...finally when Cody the golden retriever could not be seen in the grass out back, I called someone and have this great feeling of relief that should last for at least a week or until it rains again :) (Okay, the grass wasn't THAT high, but a chihuahua WOULD have had a problem finding his way out of the wilderness.)

    We do tend to be hard-headed, some of us to the point of absurdity.

    Yup, they can be stubborn... he should be milking this time and certainly not worrying about doing any household chores, etc. I know I am too weak to do too much... but I will admit it and not even try....

    We have two chocolate labs, girls and sisters at that....

    If the grass gets too high especially in the mornings when it's wet, they won't go. They run to my neighbors yard...so I have to heard them back into our yard before they do their dooty.

    As my wife always tells me, they don't wanna get their hoo hoos wet. Ummmm OK, I'll make sure to get that taken care of right away hun, LOL....

    Side effects
    Head and Neck Cancer produces very few positive side effects. But the best one is the acknowledgement of she who keeps up with the funds of this household realizing that the yardman she hired, during my treatment, does a heck of a lot better job than I ever did. We've had this guy almost 28 months after my treatment. Thank goodness.....I didn't like doing it anyway.

    When it rains it pours
    Plumbing... grass... flat tires... We will never know why these things happen while we are going through this. I had my Trans Oral Robotic Surgery August 10, neck dissection August 29th, then our house got hit by lighting Sept 2nd, 4 days after my neck dissection. It took out 14 pieces of electronics, just shy of $4,000. One was a 55" Flat Screen that was only 2 months old. LOL.

    The positive of it all.... I got to go back to the store and be admired by all the dudes again as I walked out of the store with that box! LOL

    We all just keep pointed forward and count our blessings that we have all of this wonder medical technology available to us!

    Hi Crystal, I'm just glad I don't have to call you Mrs. Arndog no more. Somehow, it just never seemed to fit you. You know we live just outside of Cleveland, Tx. and I work in Houston all the time. I sell Christmas trees every year in Houston and if you & Arndog would like to put up a real tree this year, it will be on me. I will look you guys up on facebook soon and tell you where my tree lot is located if you are interested.     Actually I spent some time around Humble, Kingwood and the Big A, Galleria and Greenspoint Mall areas...

    My daughter lives in Spring near her mother..
