OT-Waiting game for me

Everyone tells a caregiver, "Remember to take care of yourself". Easier said than done, but I took the first step and went to go see a dermatologist about a couple of moles. I knew they didn't look right, but shoved it to the side; Robert's fight takes all of my attention.
The derm took measurements and biopsies from my nose and arm today. So now I wait, too, for the results.

I am so glad to have found this place. I have already researched all the skin cancers, treatments, etc..and know where the best docs are in Birmingham (UAB)( It took a month to get this appt). I know to question, question, and question again, and then get another opinion if I am not comfortable.

Thank you all, for your insight and info into this world. I won't be entering this (IF it is anything), uninformed, clueless, or blind.

Robert said, "Well, if it is anything, we can take care of each other" ;-}

    Time for you...
    I am a care giver and a melanoma survivor for 10 years. I am tired and wonder where I will get the strength to go on each day but I do. I wonder if anyone has ever said " thank GOD for GOD" lol, that's how I go on. Think good thoughts and I am glad you went in. I can't tell you how different my outcome would have been if I hadn't.
    Oh and he is right! You will take care of each other. :)

    B'ham
    I lived in Center Point a long time ago. B'ham is a great town and UAB has a super reputation in the medical field. I got my MBA at UAB so I think it's a great school. I'll be praying that the biopsies come back as benign.
