in Colorectal Cancer #1
I think I have a local reccurrance as well as the lung nodules. Ever since I've came home (Sunday) I have noticed a lot of mucus passing and now it's showing some specs of blood.I'm not gonna press for furture testing because I know there is nothing that can be done since I already had pelvic radiation and surgery in that area. I'm just kinda upset more crap to deal with!! Does this ever get better ?? Sorry to sound so negative but I'm just soooo fustrated, and hate to self pitty my situation because we are all fighting this monster but seriously I feel so cheated and wish I could get my old life back!!! I'm not even thrity yet and fear this disease is gonna kill me before I get there.ok .......needed to vent......thanks for reading....-Melissa

    I don't think when the dragon has you by the neck the emotion you are feeling is self pity.

    I think it is honest concern for your safety.

    Where are the dragon balls so you can kick them and make him let you go!!???

    The only way way I know to to help you find that vulnerable pair is prayer, so I am praying for you.

    Having and keeping my faith has been a huge struggle from me these last few weeks. I beg and pled to ease my pain and suffering but feel my shouts are falling on deaf ears. Thanks your kindness and prayer I too will pray for your well being during this time:) Melissa

    Just because you got nasty crap (literally) coming out your but don't mean it's a recurrance there. You do need to get it checked to be sure what you are dealing with. We are always quick to assume its that nasty az cancer again BUT....maybe not. Please do find out..... then get a plan to kick it down and back outta your life. I mean really.... that crap think its gonna mess with you?????? I THINK NOT!!!! Keep us informed and I will be sending super good vibes your way.....take care

    OK, Cancer doesn't care about age,sex,race,religion, or outlook on life...its a bitc h to say the least...but, its the hand we are all in here dealt so we have to do the best we can in every facet. We also have to ensure that we make the most out of what we have. We all have our days that we deserve to feel sorry for ourselves, believe me I have had plenty. But, we also need the days where it stays out of our minds for a while, to allow us to enjoy things. Make friends come by whether you want them or not, it gives you relief from whats in your mind. We need that relief to stay afloat through the storm. Stay in here until company arrives but don't be alone for a while, at least until you get your sea legs back...then life will get better for you....and by all means, keep that faith beside you, its there when nothing else is.......love to you my friend.Clift

    Sorry you are dealing with all this but think you should get the mucous checked out. It probably is nothing but you should let the doctor now. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

    After my lung surgery
    I had a lot of mucus...It was necessary for me to keep coughing it up, they say its part of clearing out the lung for recoup issues. I think that's partially why the spirometer is used. To help bring lung capacity back and also to help rid the lung of mucus. It should clear up before to long, the blood if its small specks may just be normal rejection of surgical procedure. If it persists for any longer than a day or two then yeah I would let the Dr know. Good wishes to you sweetheart...buzz.

    Hey there Melissa...don't be getting down and discouraged just yet. Get it checked out yes, but maybe it's something that goes along with out disease and treatments. I know it gets frustrating and you being so young doesn't seem fair but get your toughness going again and lets find out what is causing this mucus and blood. I will be sending you some good vibes,thoughts,and prayers.
