last update for a while

I think I let everyone know that a few weeks ago I had a colonsocopy and an Endoscopy which came back no cancer and no polyps in my colon and no veins in my throat from the chirrosis. I just finished a battery of tests and some weird stuff has happened. I have had high blood pressure for years on meds and I have always had inverted t-waves on a heart strip. My heart is a little more left in my chest then it should be. My blood pressure is now a constant 110/68 so no more blood pressure meds. Further my inverted t-waves have disappeared. I understand the BP drop after all while in Florida Hospitals I went from 214 lbs to 150. My good cholesterol which has never been good is now very good my bad cholesterol has alway been very low is still low the 80's. My liver enzymes are still all normal. My doctor said if my chirrosis wasn't killing me (2-10 years from now)I would be in great health. I see my ONC the end of August to get him to authorize getting my port out. After that happens he's fired and I'll find another who cares about his patients. The doctors in Florida once they eliminated why I developed Chirrosis were in general agreement it was likely folfox that damaged my liver. I developed Acites after treatment #7 and it was ignored by my ONC who said it would go away. It got so bad during my Florida vacation (went after treatment #12 of folfox) that I had to go to ER and spent 10 days in ICU and 24 in the hospital. There is no proof the Folfox does damage to the liver and of course I'm sure my ONC will never agree that it does. However I think Achem's Razor applies here. Regardless the good news although my finger and taste buds are still not working thanks to the Folfox I have started to put on weight nearly 10 pounds. They would love for me to reach around 175. They took me off one of my diuretics which had the side effects of making you very dizzy when standing and causing falls. I have been in physical therapy for several weeks and I can now walk without a walker and although I can't walk distance it's coming around. Next they are going to address upper body muscle. The first thing that went when my health crashed in Florida and I could not eat anything without vomiting it up... was all of my muscle disappeared first followed by my fat. It was so bad I couldn't even sit up. I surprised everyone in Florida including my family who flew down to be with me that I didn't die. I know long post sorry but I am off to Florida for a few days and won't be around on this site for about six weeks. My wife and I are bringing back our daughter and my grand daughters for my newest grand daughters baptism and party. Her dad has military training in Ohio and then is flying to Michigan too. Good times ahead for us. Don't worry I'm not going anywhere near a Florida Hospital. Hugs to you all! Lou
