    Great place for info
I agree you should read the SUPERT HREAD to learn enough to ask questions. The members on this board have been through almost every situation and feely offer advice and lessons learned.

Yes you are about to go through some rough times but always remember that the light at the end of the tunnel really is a light and not a train. Most tonsil cancers are curable.

The key is to ask questions, any question and don't be reluctant to do so.

I to am a 15 year survivor of tonsil cancer.

We'll be here throughout his treatment if/when you need us.

Welcome to the forum, great people here, awesome wealth of information and experience from survivors in all stages. Like yourself just starting, mid-way through treatment, just finishing up and some that have been around for several years.

I myself had STGIII SCC Tonsil Cancer HPV+, diagnosed in January 2009, finished up June 2009..all scans have been clean since.

Here's a link to Sweetblood's SuperThread...it's a collection and collaboration of many topics, questions, replies from the forum....awesome source of review for first timers

    ADVICE
Everything I would have said and more is listed on the Superthread. I too was diagnosed last July with Stage 4B with the primary in my Right Tonsil and METS to 19 Nodes in my neck. I am a little over 9 Mos. post treatment and so far so good. I have returned to work full time, go to the gym 4-5 days a week, cycle and feel great. I have a few long lasting / permanent side effects, but they are manageable.

In short, This is beatable and there is definitely life after cancer.

We are all here to help you through this, and vent away as we all have at some time or another.

    Best!!
