Im a first time gma!!!!
Now up to the present day now that you know a little history. My daughter was having a baby and nobody was supose to know about it especally me...why i dont know!
Recently i was surfin facebook and on that side of the family i seen a pic of this baby and nobody stated whos baby it was...now remember i had no idea she was even pregnant... yet when i seen that pic i knew it was my daughters baby...it looked just like her. I broke down crying...everyone said i was freakin out for nothing cuz we dont even know if its hers or not...call it mothers intution or whatever...i knew! Later it was found to be hers. Yet it really hurt that Bitchzilla was later claiming the role of grandma, rubbing it in my face that i will never have that role!
This whole thing started a verbal war between our family until i stepped in and put a stop to it. I simply said if thats what my daughter wants then let her have it...its her life and this should be a happy occation for her not family drama. I hope i did the right thing in letting it go. Yet this was the topper that started my melt down.
Me and my other 3 kids are very close and none of them understand it and are upset about it as well.
Well now with all that said, since i cant publicaly shout out that im a first time grandma...lets rephrase that "nana"...im too young for grandma...lol. I can do it here and have my sisters celebrate with me.
Her name is Laney and she was born July 19th! I posted a pic of her...i did a snatch and grab off facebook as soon as i seen it...luckly i did cuz it was gone soon after. This is all the info i have on her. I just hope to met her someday.

Glad you got to snatch and grab that photo! I agree, you're too young to be gma, so nana it is. I am Grams but he doesn't call me that, he's 20 months old, whatever comes out of his mouth works for me. I pray you get that chance someday, and admire your ability to let it go for now. What goes around comes around and Karma is a b****, it will all work out and I hope in your favor.

We will certainly all celebrate her birth here with you. I sincerely hope and pray you get to be a part of her life at some point (also your daughter's). I can't imagine how hard this must be for you. Keep the faith and try to believe in your heart that they will be in your life some day.

Yes, you are a first time grandma, regardless of circumstance. Time heals all wounds, and in time I hope and prayer you will have the opportunity to have a 1 on 1 relationship with both your daughter, and granddaughter - Laney.
Don't give up .. continue to hope and prayer for a quick solution of this unfortunate feud.

Congrats Nana!! Laney is beautiful, thanks for sharing her with us. I think you did the right thing by putting a stop to the drama. I’m sure your daughter will come around and appreciate it and you’ll be able to meet your beautiful granddaughter. I agree – don’t give up hope!!

I will pray for you that this situation can be resolved...i was just livid reading what a horrible thing #######zilla has done! i would hate to be in her shoes when the Karma comes around to bite her in the butt!

I'm so glad you got to see a picture before it was taken down. I too have a granddaughter but never got to see a picture because she was born while my son was in prison and he only told me about her to hurt me and let me know that I would never know my granddaughter. I hope you get to meet your granddaughter someday soon but if not, I know you will always cherish that picture.

Very bitterweet but congrats nana. Who knows what will occur with time. I will keep a good thought that as your daughter experiences motherhood she will come to realize that you are her mom and this is your grandkid. Meanwhile, I admire you for taking the right approach and making this time about her and the baby. My hat is off to you.
