New to UPSC and Thank God alive

Ladies, I started briefly looking at this site awhile ago, I'm at the end of my treatment. I'm greatfull for the most beautifull, reliable, current, positive, loving, ladies. Thank-you. I'd gone to have a yrly physical in "09" the outcome was anemia which was a first for me, the symptoms of vague bloating, lots of hard to pass gas, digestion noise, constipation, were dismissed, "we'll ck next yr, if they persist." The next yr "Jan 2010" I started with my (alot too simple holistic) gyno, pap was fine. I decided to get another physical. The blood work was off, a basicly, anemia again. I think March 2010 I went(changed to a P.A. because office hrs conflicted with my schedule) to a P.A. he's a wonderfully curious teacher, diagnostition. The anemia was important because it said that I was bleeding from somewhere faster than my body could produce. This was not from my very mild period(I'm 53). I did blood work, was refered to have colonoscopy 2x and swallowed pill with camera, my colon was clean. I started to have pain in the abdomen, made an appt with a (new) great Gyno. They found problems with the large size and fluid in uterus, fibroids on ovaries, proceded with hysterectomy plans, then I asked for a CA-125 that 3 previous folks had mentioned I should look into. Well, that test result of 1300? was when I was refered to Oncologist Gyno. Thank-You Dr. for the excellant Surgery(Nov. 2010) . The diagnosis was stage lV UPSC. The surgery included extensive debulking, total hysterectomy, spleen removal, rectom resection, diaphram resection, shaved away some of the pancreas. The hospital stay was 13 days, I left with 2 drains, one PIC line to feed me. I wasn't able to eat/drink for about 6wks. The pancreas is a mean one to heal. When it healed, they took out the drains, discontinued the PIC to feed me and give me antiobitics. I did go back to the hosp near New Years 2010 for 3 days due to infection. The next step was, 6 rounds of chemo (carboplatan/taxol) starting Dec 2010. My side effects were tolerable, some nausea, vomiting, weakness, neuropathy, bone pain from Nulasta shot? I'm not sure the name. It was successfull at bringing up blood counts. Okie Dokie! I'm BLESSED the Lord sent Precious Folks to treat me. I'm tired, sore, but no Cancer! CA 125 was 7 last month, I decided against Avastin at this time. Look and See now. This is Aug 2011, I'm taking generic Femara and don't like the muscle pain.

    Hello
I am so glad you are doing well.
So, you did not have radiation?

I had clear cell adenocarcinoma, stage 2, grade 3 and only had 6 rounds of chemo. I just finished 2 weeks ago.

That was quite a battle to get diagnosed as the cancer unfortunately was spreading! Glad you have successfully made it thru your extensive surgery and chemo to share your story. Was your cancer hormone-receptor positive? Many UPSC cancers are not. Is that why you are on Femara?
I was also Stage IVB at my UPSC surgery in Jan '08.
