OK, I'm almost 1 year since my lumpectomies (8/19/10) and I just went in for my 6 mth mammo/bloodwork. So I've gotten called back (for the left one this time) for another mammo and ultra sound. I know that in my 15 or so years of mammos, I always got a call back and it was nothing until last year when I was diagnosed with Stage 1, Med grade, triple negative no nodal involvement, had 2 lumpectomies to get clear margins, 4 rounds of Cytoxan/Taxotere and 2 rounds of Cytoxan/Taxol and finished up with 33 rads on 4/1/11. My tumor markers were down (Yea!) but my liver enzymes were "slightly" elevated and I have to go back for more blood tests in 10 days.
This is getting old...I want to be better--just starting to lose the weight and gain some energy.
I know that the re-testing is a good thing for it means my doctors are paying attention, but really..will the worry ever go away?
Thanks for listening to my venting...hubby is getting tired of hearing it and no one else really understands unless they've been there, done that.

    Probably never goes completely away
    once you've been through the dx. But you're right, unless you've been there, done that, you don't get it. We're always here to listen and let each other vent as needed. Want that pink bus to go along for that repeat manno etc.? We're always willing to hit the road! Just let us know when your appointment is.

    It is because knowing
    that unless you have been there, you don't understand. It is the fears that surround the diagnosis.
    Wishing you the best on your call back. You will find that once you have had bc, all the doctors are much more diligent every time you go in for anything, her we called it cya!

    Sending prayers that it is just the radiologist doing a good job to rule out!
