WOW... the board knocked the wind out of me this morning
and I am going back to bed.

I still can't believe we lost Meena.. it's like the end of an era.
And then I read Chen's news... what to heck is wrong with that
Noncologist? He would make a great target for the all the anger
that I feel welling up in me. I know it doesn't help but I feel so
helpless watching my precious sister suffer and their loss.. I
can't even begin to describe - I have no words for that.

I am sending everyone big warm hugs and will be back later
when I had some time to process the heavy news.

    The losses on the board
    The losses on the board always devastate me too. What keeps me going is knowing that, if anything ever happened to me, I would want my sisters to celebrate my life and fight on. I believe most of us feel that way. I loved Meena's spirit--always fighting and optimistic. She will be missed.

    Hi Ayse -- I thought of you right away when I read the news. I knew it would affect you very much - so sorry this happened. I pray for her family and her soul. The little I knew about her inspired me.

    Cynthia -- But remember we are planning on at least another 22 years for you, OK?

    Ayse she was a true fighter and this is so sad but we wll celebrate Meena's fighting spirit, she fought this beast as hard and as strong as any one could.

    Ayse, yes, the news lately is so sad. Meena was a true warrior and inspiration to so many of us. I will miss her posts. We have lost some very special ladies this year.....Heidi, Moopy, MamaG and now our dear, sweet Meena. If I have missed anyone I didn't mean to these are just the kindred spirits I recall at this moment.

    Sometimes, this type of news is enough to make me think it's better to avoid the boards in order to avoid the heartache. But, I learn so much and receive so much from our sisters that I cannot do it. Plus, I am in the midst of my third recurrence and know that I will look to you wonderful ladies for knowledge and support.

    I love you all!!

    It is tough for all of us Especially who have jointed the board at the same time undergone treatment and have graduated together
    We have lost so many so young
    Please stay healthy and be proactive class of 2009!

    Sooo True, with Hurt comes love!!! I, too hate to hear of the losses and want to turn away from the sad news... BUT, I , like others gain sooo much knowledge and support from you ladies. This is also a GREAT place of Peace, Comfort and Supportt!!!
