AnoThEr hair/health update...

Hi, can't believe I haven't been on here since February. I guess no one needs my advice or experience expertise...anyhow, as for my hair...It's just growing. I had my last chemo May 2010, so it's been over a year. I got a perm this past April. My hair was fine before and now it is more fine with a better texture. I get a perm every 10 weeks now. Last month my beautician put in some highlights. I basicly wear headbands as my hair is right below my ear. I realize in time my hair grew back and I didn't need to use any special products or take any meds. You can't look at me and tell what I've been through. Oan:I did decide to not get a nipple after reconstruction. I think my straight scar looks better. November will be 2 years since diagnosis. Without reading my history...I've had a left mastectomy with expander placed & port, 6 rounds of chemo, 5 1/2 weeks of radiation, and reconstruction & port removal. Then, non-cancer related this year I've had a bowel resection, apendectomy and my gall bladder removed. I take a blood pressure pill, which I was taking before and tamoxifen. And, I'm still maintaining my 120 pounds, LOL! In all, I am happy, still healing, but feeling better. Take care! and HugS to everyone!
