I think you should call your
I think you should call your surgeon about the pain asap. When I had my port removed...it was sore for several weeks...but not pain. I don't think you should be having pain 6 weeks after removal.......time to call and ask the professionals........ good luck and let us know....

    Can't help you -
other than to say to call youor Dr and talk to him/her. Pain should be checked out with Dr. My port is still in after almost 2 yrs so don't know how it should feel after being taken out.

Sorry not much help from me
Sorry not much help from me either because my port was removed when I had my mastectomy so I had numbness all over. I agree with the others though, call your doctor just to have peace of mind. .

    Call the doc....
I agree with the other posts.....call the doc tomorrow! I had my port in for just over a year, had it removed this past April 2011, and only had a little soreness there just for a couple days. What you're feeling just doesn't seem right. Maybe you'll get lucky and the doc will say it's just nerves there that need to settle down. I remember when I got my port put in, I had terrible pain in that area and my shoulder too. It subsided after a couple weeks. Wishing you luck!
