You are 100% correct! Everything you told me about MIE -Dr. Meredith stated the exact same statistics. The first thing he said was he does 4-5 of the surgeries per week, the first surgeon ( we saw) does the Ivor/Lewis 4-5 times per year! That is enough for me right there. Dr. Meredith was as passionate about patients having the MIE as you are. I am so grateful to you both; if it were not for you I would not have pursued the MIE. I will fight to make sure John has the surgery with an expert surgeon and an expert team of physicians and nursing staff that take care of patients having Esophagectomy every day not 4-5 times per year. That is just common sense. Again I would not have had the sense to ask if it was not for you and this site!
