I saw an eye doc this morning (I'm trying to get all the doc stuff done before I have to go back to work)...and I feel even older since I definitely need bifocals. After reviewing all my options I decided to try contacts again and use readers...sigh. And oh yea, my BP was high again...sigh.

I was told my hair was really cute by a stranger! (It's been six months since I finished chemo, and the only people who have commented on my hair are friends and family who have watched me go through this process.) I was so surprised I almost forgot to say thank you...

I sent an email to my primary doc and my onc about the high BP and about the headaches I've been having. My onc called me within 5 minutes of hitting send and asked if I could go this afternoon for a brain MRI. He said it was for his peace of mind, so now I'm scared.

I did the MRI, and had a reaction to the injection...nausea...so it took a little longer and I closed down the joint.

Tomorrow will be busy too...up at 6 for a 7:30 PT appt (the lymphedema is acting up). Then in the afternoon I have an appointment with the genetic counselor for genetic testing. And in the evening I'll take my daughter to dress rehearsal for her ballet recital on Saturday. Hopefully, somewhere in between I'll get MRI results.

And I'm all out of sleep meds...sigh.

    I understand...
I'm up too.....I'm having my MRI tonight at 8:15....also having high BP issues...How high was your BP? Are you taking meds for it...Sometimes they need tweaking as the meds themselves can cause headaches as can to high BP....

It's always something, isn't it? I'm rooting for you, sweetie, for good results on the MRI...I bet it will be fine...Get those sleep aids refilled, pronto!

Enjoy your precious daughter's recital...I fondly remember my daughters'...we always had to laugh...dancing wasn't really her forte...she looked so cute on stage but she for some reason she'd always stick her tongue out as she was twirling around....Kinda spoiled the effect but boy was she cute! lol

    Hang in there..know we care
    Hugs, Nancy

Linda .. Gentle hugs and prayers for you, dear
friend. Please let us know how your MRI scan turns out. Reaction to the MRI .. Yikes, maybe it has to do with your blood pressure. I too have my issues with high blood pressure, so I taken special notice to my salt and caffeine intake during stress times in my life. That seems to help, in my case.

Your daughter, Abby, must be quite the dancer, as I recall this is not her first dance recital. How PROUD you must be, Mom.

Take care of yourself, Linda. Remember that there is life after breast cancer, and you are daring to live it!!!! I am PROUD, of YOU.

    Strength, Courage and Hope.

    I just jumped on quickly
I just jumped on quickly before dinner and rehearsal to let you know my doc called at 8:15 this morning...the MRI was clear!!! YIPPPEEEE!!!! Sorry I couldn't let you know sooner, but really happy my doc didn't make me wait.

The primary care doc wants to start me on BP meds...I want more info before he calls in a script, so we're trading emails. But it looks like that might be my destiny now. I actually hope the headaches are related to the BP, because if so that's manageable.

Ayse, I also got a call today to come back for a second interview!! More YIPPPEEE!!! Still waiting and hoping on the other interview (it's closer and should be more $$$).

VickiSam, yes my Abby is quite the dancer. This will be her fifth annual recital with this teacher, and they always perform at the State Fair too. And I'm biased, but she's quite good. She says she wants to go to a dance school be a dance teacher when she grows up.

Molly, my days aren't usually so busy. Everything just seemed to land on yesterday and today. Once recital is over that will make a big difference. And I use these days to test my readiness for going back to work. (Even though it's Father's day, I think I'll get a massage on Sunday.)

Thank you all for your good wishes and support. You should know by now I can't do all this without you!

    Hugs,

    Linda

When I run out of sleep meds,
I cry. My mind spins like a hamsters wheel. No kidding. Maybe some wine? Is that on your OK list? Take care and try to slow down a bit. And enjoy that ballet recital!

    Oh, Linda!!
This is one time I'm so ok with having missed your original post. I would have been beside myself with worry. I can't even imagine how you felt. I am happy your oncologist ordered the MRI rather than take a wait and let's see attitude, but geez you must have been a mess. No wonder you were unable to sleep.

On a happy note is your job interview process. Congratulations on that.

    Take care and celebrate.

    Love,
    Suzanne
