Visual Field Disturbance Linked to Heart Beat.

Last August I was successfully treated with radiation for cancer of a vocal cord. I am still cancer-free, and have my fingers crossed.

However, I've developed a visual disturbance linked to my heart beat. My visual fields "jump" with each beat. An Ophthalmologist says my eyes are fine, and I have an appointment to see a Neurologist. A recent brain MRI was normal.

Anyone with a visual disturbance linked to the heart beat?
Rick.

No, I have not had a visual disturbance that was linked to my heart beat. I have developed photophobia (sensitivity to light) due to the brain cancer, but luckily, my visual fields are still really good, despite the tumors in the optic nerve and optic nerve chiasm.

I would suggest you see a Neuro-Opthalmalogist who might be able to help you. I found a very good one.

Good luck!

Blessings,
Teresa

Thank you,
I will be seeing an opthalmologist and a neurologist specializing in peripheral problems in the coming two weeks. The neuro-opthalmologists in town are not in-network, so I'm going to see if the in-network docs can find something
