dearest newbies,

we have lots of amazing discussions, lots are buried in our colorectal archives.
some mention ways some of us have tried to protect our liver. please search and read if its the right time for you, or if you are overwhelmed then just comeback and check this out later.

search on liver damage chemo is a good starting point.

please just be aware of the issues.

i did not want this warning to fall through the cracks.

some people do what their oncologist tells them. this may or may not include items below.
often oncologists vary widely in opinion around the hospital, state, country and world.
some people take milk thistle, some juice, some have a diet , and others just chill and do nothing special. i have probably missed a few.

your welcome to read and make your own conclusions and of course ask questions.
at least it maybe food for thought, it might even liven up your next visit with your
medical team.

hugs and health,

pete

ps maybe a few old timers will post there top favourite liver posts or links.
then maybe we can recycle this post every month or so to catch any newbies. thoughts ??????
maybe like pepe's what you doing this weekend. i am trying to capture the collective wealth of opinion here on a subject, not my own personal views. can we keep this positive please.

Through your chemo, how have your liver functions tests been? I think you said you are having blood tests soon....how were the last tests as far as liver function tests, if I may ask. Others may chime in as well. Do most people see a gradual increase in liver function tests as they progress on chemo? Just wondering what to expect. Again, you are all so generous with your time and caring.
