I love my port !!!!

Anyhoooooo ... I've been having problems with acid reflux, my esophagus etc. so my oncologist sent me for an EGD (scope thing down my throat). I'd had one maybe 6 years ago so I knew they would put me in that twilight sleep (but I swear I'm totally out of it!). Well ........ I was all ready to be poked and prodded ... when the nurse said "Do you want me to use your port?" I couldn't believe it. Talk about doing a happy dance ... I could have jumped off the bed and done the hokie-pokie! It was a breeze! I think I'll keep my port FOREVER!
hugs.

Happy the procedure went well.
I know what you mean about poking. I am going into my 6th chemo treatment this Friday, with no port, and I am already annoyed that they want to use my ONLY good vein! How about the hand? "No, this is a good vein". :-/ Oh well..
Glad it went so well with your having your port!
