Against the tide 2011

Against the Tide is a one-mile recreational or competitive swim, two-mile kayak, three-mile fitness walk, and/or 5k fun run to benefit Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC). Participants may enroll in one, two, or three of the five components of the events. This family friendly and inspirational statewide event brings swimmers, kayakers, walkers, and runners of all ages and abilities together. MBCC is proud to partner with NESN TV for the “Against the Tide” events in an effort to stop the breast cancer epidemic.

Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is asking citizens in Massachusetts to join one of the statewide Against the Tide events on June 18th at DCR’S Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton, MA, or at DCR’s Nickerson State Park on August 20th in Brewster, MA.

    Sounds like a big event
Sounds like a big event that will raise alot of money. You always hear about walks but the kayak and the swims are different.Sometimes motorcycle groups do a fundraiser for breast cancer and other types of cancer but the even you mentioned will be huge. Something for everyone to participate in.
