Doxil , thrush , mouth ulcers

Hi ladies , hope you are all ok.

I am with mum and she is complaining of thrush and mouth ulcers.has anyone else had thrush while on doxil, I asked if her mouth and tongue looked normal she said it she has a whitish film on her tongue , so I am wondering if she has thrush in her mouth, is this common?
We have got come canestan this morning and some cream for mouth ulcers , so hoping that will clear it up. Any other suggestions welcome. Thanks x Liz x

    I have not been on Doxil but
    I have not been on Doxil but have seen alot of posts pertaining to help with it. I hope you get are able to get it cleared up soon.

    My mum's not on Doxil
    Hi Liz

    My mum's not on Doxil but she has had oral thrush with the Carboplatin. She got something on prescription for the thrush (a bottle with a dropper), not sure of the name, but will find out. For the mouth ulcers, I'd highly recommend Difflam mouthwash. You can get it over the counter or from the chemo nurses. It numbs the mouth a bit and helps take away the pain so is useful to use before eating.

    idk what's in it....but it works wonders......ask your chemo nurse.....prayers and thoughts coming your way!!

    It's great for the mouth ulcers. For the thrush, you need nystatin or Diflucan.

    i used to use this and i also used an oral swish and swallow for yeast infections
