Treatment centers

in Colorectal Cancer #1
Just wondering if anyone has been to The Issels Treatment center in Santa Barbara Ca or Sloan Kettering in NY. If so what did you think of the care/protocol?

    THE ISSELS TREATMENT CENTER: Can't find much good, but some bad reports....via the internet. I'm not too impressed...When you talk with their personnel and the only thing they can say is send medical info and talk with the doctor...Not a good answer.

    Any Who...just thought I'd share...

    I have no personal
    I have no personal experience, but I know Sloan has a wonderful rep. My onc. was invited to practice there and it was considered quite an honor.

    Shay Medical Center in
    Shay Medical Center in Scottsdale was top notch. Everyone was attentive and my surgery recovery was very quick.

    UCSD Moore's Cencer Center was also very good. A beautiful campus and extremely knowledgeable staff.

    UCLA John Wayne is also very good. I would say second to the other two. My first surgery was here and they were very compasionate.

    I have lived in the New York
    I have lived in the New York area and Sloan is considered one of the best in the country. We go to Emory in Atlanta, but if I could I think I would go to Anderson in TX. They are the top of the list.

    Treatment Centers
    I know others who have been treated at Sloan Kettring and received very good care and results. I was treated at MD Anderson and am glad I was able to go there.

    Been there since the beginning. Great place. I think it's the best available.

    I just got back from Sloan on Tuesday and the staff and facilities there are first rate. If I was not already married, there was at least one nurse to whom I would have proposed - the care was that good! Very professional and thorough.
