It's been two years...

It's been two years since I was diagnosed stage 3C OVCA. I have never gone into remission and will be on chemo forever. My latest cat scan shows no new growth but my cancer is very aggressive so I can't stop chemo. For everyone else (my family and friends) life goes on. But I can not escape the cancer. I'm quite sick of it. I just needed to vent and I knew you all would understand.
God Bless my teal sisters.
Natalie

you can vent all you want
we are here for you. I hope someday you will have a remission. Can you ask your dr for a little break? You are so young and very brave. Live your life and enjoy everyday, even on chemo days. What kind of chemo are you on? Stay strong...val

    Break
We had talked about taking a chemo break but decided against it. I'm on carboplatin. It's not fun but could be worse! Thanks for the encouragement.

    We do understand
but it's rotten that you haven't had a remission. Have you had a second opinion? Keep up the fight (I have that shirt) and hopefully some good news will come your way.

My gyn/onc is the best in my
My gyn/onc is the best in my city, possibly even state, so I do not feel the need to see another doctor. She does consult with other doctors to see what they would do, and it's always what she is doing. She is awesome and I trust she knows the best treatment for me. My cancer is just so aggressive that remission isn't likely.
I lost a friend to ovca when she was in year three of her fight. I guess entering my third year is more scary because of that.
p.s. Isn't this shirt awesome?!!? I bought one for my Mom too :)

    Great Shirt !
I'm so glad you trust your dr. I love my Dr. and believe she will do whatever is best for me that is such a comforting feeling. I hope you get some kind of break soon but you are young and strong you have that on your side. Do something special for yourself, three years is quite an achievement !

    HANG IN THERE, NATALIE
I can't imagine never being able to count on a break. I know it seems like the whole world is moving in a different direction and a different pace than you. My husband is disabled, and he speaks often of how much he misses out on. While everyone else is moving forward, he feels as though he is standing still.

Sending lots of prayers and hugs to you, Natalie. Vent anytime - we all have something to vent about, and it's good to know we can come here to do that. Sometimes those who have not been through it cannot understand - not their fault, just that experience is far different than hearing what it's all about.
