I have been lurking since diagnosis in February, hadn't posted in lung until today. Thought I'd introduce myself. Don't offically have Lung Cancer - but hypophyraxical cancer that mets to lungs. I thought I had bronchitis and ran to an urgent aid to get antibiotics. He did a chest x-ray and saw a spot in my right lobe. Within a week had a ct and a very bright pet and appointments with the medical oncologist again. Now back to chemo and a lot of trips to the hospital. Truly amazed with the generous nature of the people around me and pretty dissapointed with about everything else. Going in for a ct and some surgery tomorrow. The lung Doc likes to look around and will lazer if he sees blockage. I am 47 got first diagnosed March 2010, never smoked, seldom drink. - Judy

    My wife was 47 when
My wife was 47 when diagnosed with lung cancer two years ago. Crazy this thing called cancer. Quite a journey. Sounds like you have good support. We also have a three year old son. Enjoy each day and each moment. Wishing you only good health and peace.

    Just curious
What is hypophyraxical? I couldn't find it when I looked it up, but I know those medical terms are tricky.

The spot in the back of the throat above the esophagus and below the tongue. (hypopharynx)
