Feeling fine, 2 months after Liver Surgery

Hi, Just letting everyone know I am doing just great, Still considered cancer free, doing my mop up chemo , doc wans to do 8 but i am ging to stop at 4 just haven't told him yet,

My dad is getting a stem cell transplant for his reoccuring Lymphoma, He is doing well.

Some weird news, or findings,

After liver surgery about being about three weeks ago, I started to eat like a normal person, and experienced severe pain just under my rib cage and in my gut, i could harly walk or do anything,

I did not know what was wrong, I got an x ray and found out i was extremely backed up. I went on line and found out i needed to take digestive emzines beacuse i didnot have a gall bladder of most of my liver and i was not releaseing bile which was causing the fats and protiens to go undigseted and they were backing up.

I have been taking the digestive emzines with every meal and snacks and the pain is almost gone, i have to stay away from fats and stuff or thepain comes back.

Maybe some one else is experienceing this too after liver surgery.

    Yeah!! probiotics are good for you too. My naturopath has me on beta plus for the same reason, it's a herb.

    So glad to hear you are doing well after the surgery Penny. You know, one would have thunk that the surgeons, doctor or nurses would have mentioned that possibility that you would need to take digestive enzymes, one has to wonder sometimes.
    Happy you found out for your self what to do though!!!
