Update on husband who will not eat

Options
I have just a few minutes. Took the day off and went with husband to radiation and to see his oncologist. He was in bad shape this morning. They admitted him into the hospital. I am on my way back to the hospital. Will update in a few.

    Dang. Sorry to read this.
I signed on hoping to get an update from you today. Didn't expect this. I am hoping that they can find out what is wrong and get him feeling better quickly. Will be keeping you in my thoughts today.

    Yeah, not the news I
Yeah, not the news I expected.. After lots of fluids he seems to be doing 50% better. He is awake and had dinner.. That is a major improvement. Not sure how we are going to proceed with his treatment. I guess it is a wait and see thing.. Thanks for your well wishes.

    Yes-
It's what it takes, sometimes. Though not the ideal, it is a positive in that he's not only getting the help he needs, but also the Onco and C team must be more aware of how things had been slipping south. Kidney and liver problems are among the forewarnings I got- that problems with such and chemo sometimes happen. Hope and Pray for your husband, and that your med team are up to the task at hand for them.

    Any talk about a PEG?

    Sorry
This happens sometimes. Plenty of survivors on here who were admitted to the hospital during treatment and are doing well now. Glad to hear that some fluid helped and getting a dinner down is great. I'll keep you both in my prayers. Make sure you're taking care of you. Now is a good time for you to get some rest. Your husband is being well taken care of.

    beats the alternative, arndog64
Kudos for getting him into the hospital and getting some much-needed fluids started.

Pat yourself on the back for that.

    You are doing great.
