    Ouch!
Pepe, no big bowls of popcorn anymore! My colon, who was named Larry after one of the Three Stooges, hates popcorn, peanuts, and pinto beans...the 3 P's. Peanuts actually make me very sick these days.

Now my gastro says I need to watch out for leafy green veggies, raw veggies...you know, stuff that gets all hung up in this piece of a colon I have? And I am for the most part vegetarian so this poses a problem.

Take care Pepe. NO more popcorn...especially BIG bowls of popcorn!

    no more
I have been told that many people who have bowel upset may actually have an allergy or sensitivity to corn. I do. Does eating regular corn or corn products do the same to you? It may even just be too much fiber, as corn is not something that our bodies ever digest well- especially "semicolons"!

    Oh Pepon
Popcorn, no, bad, bad. I went to the movies a while back and had my popcorn, gosh how I love popcorn. I spent a most miserable two days after that. Never again.
I'm so sorry for your experience.

    Aw darlin, I'm sorry!
My surgeon, right after my J-pouch, said "Consider popcorn to be like ground glass!"

I then tried a handful once....NEVER again!!!! It smelled so good, we were at Disneyland..."one little handful can't hurt!" I thought....WHEW!

    BIG hugs, Kathi

My wife eats lots of it with no complaint. Something I will watch for if she complains after eating some.

    Thanks,

    Me too Graci
For all of the time since ca in 98 I have been able to eat virtually anything I like. I can't drink anything alcoholic,it is like poison to me and every medicine that I have taken in the last six years I have reacted badly too. But pop corn, no worries,I had a little bag of honey corn yesterday:) Ron.

    Popcorn
I haven't had any problems eating popcorn since my resection. I eat it at least once a week. The other night on the local news they did a feature on what to buy organic. One item listed was popcorn. When I clicked on it for more info, I found that they were talking about not eating microwave popcorn because the coating in the bag contained a chemical called PFOA. They said popcorn was OK if you had an air popper or popped it in a pan on the stove. I guess they meant to use organic popcorn with your air popper or pan on top of the stove.
