I don't even want to complain...but I need to get this off my chest (haha)...after my 3rd chemo treatment we moved from TX to KY. I had to find all new doctors. Now it looks like we are heading to IA. I had just scheduled my reconstruction and will have to start all over finding a new plastic surgeon (and an onc). OK, I'm done. I'm grateful to be alive to complain!!

I don't think your rant went
I don't think your rant went far enough! That totally SUCKS~ I would be lying on the floor whining like a little baby. Not Fair!! Well, you know it is what it is and all that, but still...still...
Maybe you could set up your new docs here while your packing and all that. You must have unimaginable strenghth to weather these moves so well.

I hope you find your docs and that everything goes smoothly for you.

I know what you mean. We
I know what you mean. We lived in Connecticut when I was diagnosed and treatment. Then we moved to Texas. I've had trouble getting my records from CT. They don't seem to have the treatment records! I may have to write to the surgeon to see if they still have their copies. Doing this long distance is the pits. I should have picked up copies before we left town. I had treatment in 2003/2004.

    Wow
In the scheme of "tough cookies" you are one of the toughest. I can't imagine one move during treatment, much less two.

I know we've all learned that you do what ya gotta do . . . but you're one brave lady. Will your current docs recommend someone so you don't have to search?

    lots of hugs and luck

    Changes
I cant imagine changing when it comes to moving so much and in the middle of it all.I feel for you since i am doing the doctor change(but not moving) thing in between kidney stone problems. One doctor thinks no problem to pump me with CT scans(lots of radiation) which I don't like. Now the new doctor wants to do minimal radiation every 6 months. Also changed my gastro doctor this past year. Keeping my breast surgeon and oncologist.I think they agree with me.Less radiation the better.

I hope you like these new doctors. Keep them on their toes and yes get all of your records before moving. When my new doctor had to get tests from the other other I had to go in and sign release forms. Then the former doctor's office said they werent sure I did that.I did the day before. How soon they forget!!!!!! Such Hassles to go through.

You are one strong lady.I hate changes.

    That's what we're here
That's what we're here for...to help each other get through the bad days (and the good ones too)! I've moved 4 times across the country, which is a major pain, but not while going through treatment. I'm glad you've kept your sense of humor through this latest detour in the road. Best of luck finding a good Dr. in IA.
