Any good websites to find hats etc my wig won't be in til end of March and hair is coming out in handfuls. Would be ok with shaving head if I had something to cover it =:) 2nd chemo today pray I don't get so sick like 1st one. Tired of docs saying they never had people get as sick as me find it hard to believe that I am the only 1.

    hair
Run out and get yourself a hat or scarf ... then take control ... and shave your head. We are NOT our hair. You'll do fine ... and you'll look beautiful!

    big hugs.

    I ordered from
    www.headcovers.com

Used their headband scarves: Melanie & Juliette (I think). Ordered others but didn't wear them much--too tight.

    Good luck,
    JoAnn

    Try ACS
You may want to try your local American Cancer Society. They usually have wigs, scarfs and hats for free. Some are brand new some used but in good shape and clean. God Bless

    I also ordered from.....
www.headcovers.com. I ended up never wearing my wig. I live in Florida and the wig was just too hot so I wore scarves the whole time. Ended up having favorites and wore them all the time. I bought to many at first and still have some that I never opened. I got my wig for free at my local American Cancer Society. They also had scarves for people. Maybe they would have something you can wear in the meantime; since your hair is falling out now.

When mine started falling out, I just shaved my head to get it over with. Was a little hard to get used to "me without hair" but I was bald around the house the whole time. I only wore the scarves when I went for chemo and to doctors appts. Hope this helps.

    Love and Light,
    Vicki

    I ordered some
from TLC which is part of the American Cancer Society and they came fast. Also check in your hospital or cancer center's giftshop for something quick to use. I liked tie on caps best cause I can tie them as loose or as tight as I want to for the weather, wind etc. Tie a little bandana under a ball cap works in a blink too. Have one wig and haven't worn it yet.

    Here's Where I Ordered
    Morning!

These are the two places I ordered modestly priced wigs:

TLCdirect.net - (a division of American Cancer Society) Great, modestly priced wigs in beautiful colors and sizes.

Paula Young Wigs - Nice selection of modestly priced wigs. Great colors, great styles, great customer service.

There is no need to go out and purchase expensive real hair wigs. First of all, they are high maintenance. The synthentic wigs that I purchased are very comfortable and lighweight. Plus you can wash them.

Good luck and have fun with your new looks.
