CEA

Options
Hello again, just been to collect blood results and last cycle of chemo tabs ( Xeloda ). The nurse said all blood are good and having CT in a month. The only thing that always concerns me is the CEA is 4, and has been that for a while. They say it is nothing to worry about, but I do!

    Don't worry unnecessarily ;)
Belinda... 4 is totally normal. For some people 25 is totally normal For others 200 is totally normal. You say your CEA is 4 and has been that for awhile... then this is your normal and the trend is that 4 is stable for you. So there is no need to worry. If you want to be a 1 then that might not be normal for you and if it's bouncing all over the place, to a 1, then up to a 8, then back down to a 4... either there's a problem or your CEA would not be a good indicator for you.

Be happy, don't worry.... 4 is good... and you are on your last cycle of chemo. Plenty to be happy about there if you ask me :)

From what I've been told, and I ask a ton of questions, CEA 4 is a good thing... keep the faith! :-)
Hope this finds you in good spirits...
