Attended Lisa's prayer service

It was a nice ceremony and I met Joe. Once he knew who I was he wouldn't shake hands with me! I got a big hug from him and reduced me to tears.

Here is a blurb from Lisa's obit, "But Lisa's greatest passion was for making other people - family, friends, and complete strangers alike - feel special about themselves. This was most true of her relationship with her fellow breast cancer survivors on the Cancer Support Network, known as the "Kindred Spirits."

I was happy to represnt our community. The flower arrangement I had made was quite sweet. It was a large shallow bowl of pink carnations and tiger lilies with the ceramic angel in the middle. I was touched that it was placed beside Lisa's urn.

I won't be able to attend mass tomorrow. I am going with my Mother to see her oncologist to get the final word on whether she has bone mets.

    This was a very heartwarming story. I know that Joe must have been so pleased that you made it to the viewing, I am sure he knew how much Moopy meant to all of us here, and we were even mentioned in her obit. That says alot.

    Thank you for sharing with us. I only knew Joe and Lisa from this board for the past year I've been on. Both are/were amazing, special, caring people and you must be also.I'm sure it must have meant a lot to Joe to have you there for all of us "Kindred Spirits".

    Dear Sweetvickid thank you so much for being there on our behalf, I am so glad you were able to meet Joe in person as I am sure it meant a great deal to him. The flowers you mentioned sound like Moopy, I am sure she saw them.

    I will be thinking of you and your mom tomorrow as you attend her onco visit with her.
