Got pumped today, went well, had a lovelly nap and a really good chat
about the week long retreat and my ER stay over the weekend.

Saw ONC and surgeon yesterday. ONC threatened to drop the dose. I thought over my dead body, but then I realised she could probably easily arrange that so I just listened.
Got some sexy expensive new drugs all covered by govt.

Anyone used EMEND before ? ADAVAN ?

Got a plan about the diarrhea including extra drugs.

Its early days yet, still have to see.

    don't question the drop in dose Pete....lots of us have dropped off the oxy a bit after 3 or 4 rounds.....and yes lots of us used emend too....some people had fantastic results with emend....very effective on the nausea front.

    re telling your onc what to do....I love my mother-in-law's expression

    don't pay a dog to bark and bark yourself.

    worst constipation
    my hubby had round#3 friday had all side effects that goes with emend said will not use it again.

    If constipation is an issue
    With the emend then make sure that you take a stool softner with it (colace or dolcalax). But, since you have an ileo wait and see first if that is a side effect for you as you don't want to be taking anything that might cause diarrhea.

    day by day NO diarrhea today hooray!!!!
    got to get xmas tree up! or the kids will be upset.

    got off the 5fu bottle yestareday and saw pyschologist, 11 days till next hit.

    got a loose bag yestaday and took 2 gastro stops and 2 panadienne forte.
    repeated 4 hours later. eating well and bags out normal. whatever the hell that means.

    oxyal symptoms stable so far. just cold tingles.

    heard about magmesium and calcium supplements and probiotic supplements. got them all yesterday.expensive but worth it i hope. went for powder forms as supposed to be better absorbed.

    the only present iwant from santa is to finish the folfox ride and get off on station 12 alive and well. here is hoping.

    I was always being weighed during chemo and my dose regulated to my weight. I had chemo for a year,every Tuesday. By the end of the year I was really starting to struggle with it. My onc suggested I could probably give the last month and a half a miss.I just said if it comes back I am going to hate myself and you for cutting it short . If I do the lot and it comes back ,well that's life. Have a good christmas,Ron.

    Ron your view matchs mine, same thoughts exactly.

    Was out at an xmas eve party and its cold and i noticed the tingling for the first time out of the blue.

    Lets not think about if or when but hopefully we will just all have a paceful xmas.
